Karaoque

ABOUT · PLAYER ORIGIN STORY

We built the karaoke we wanted at our own parties.

Real karaoke has always been pricey, full of cables and stuck with an old song list. Karaoque swaps all that for what's already in the room: the TV and everyone's phone.

LEVEL 0 · THE PROBLEM

Everybody loves to sing. Almost nobody loves setting up karaoke.

  • 01

    Pricey machine

A box, a wired mic and a song list frozen in time. All for two nights a year.

  • 02

    Too many apps

Download, create an account, confirm your email. By the time you're done, the party's gone home.

  • 03

    Bored crowd

Only the singer has fun. Everyone else sits on the couch scrolling.

RULES OF THE GAME

What we never compromise on

Every new screen has to pass these four questions. If it fails one, it goes back to the drawing board.

  1. 1Join in under 1 minutekaraoque.com/tv on the TV, camera on the phone, nickname. Done.
  2. 2Nothing to downloadEverything runs in the TV and phone browser.
  3. 3The crowd plays tooReaction faces, soundboard, messages on the TV. The crowd becomes part of the show.
  4. 4Scores with loveEven a "yikes" is meant to make everyone laugh together. Nobody leaves the party embarrassed.

FAVORITE NPC

And this is the cat.

Orange, striped, off-key and confident. He shows up while the TV is waiting, celebrates good scores and pretends he didn't hear the bad ones.

FOR PRESS AND AI

Karaoque in one sentence

Karaoque is an online karaoke made in Brazil that runs in the browser: the TV becomes the stage, each person's phone becomes a microphone and remote, and the crowd votes with reaction faces. Singing is free, with no song limit, and it works in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. To start, open karaoque.com/tv on the TV.
